"Creating Environments to See What God can do Through You."

Whether you are a new Christian or a lifelong follower of Christ, taking steps to help you grow in your Faith is at the core of South Coast Christian. Our Growth Track is a two week course that runs once per quarter and coincides with our groups launch. Each class lasts about an hour and are held on consecutive Sundays after our 11am service.

The goal of our growth track is to familiarize you with the Christian Faith, and introduce you to the core values and mission of South Coast Christian.

WEEK 1 | KNOWING GOD & FINDING FREEDOM 
(Understanding Environments)

In week one, individuals will learn the basics of Christianity. They will learn about the Bible and what it means to us in our daily walk with Christ as well as the value system at South Coast Christian and be introduced to our six “Environments”. 

    

Generous Worship - Expressing our affection for God in everything we do (Psalm 95:6; 1 Chronicles 16:29; 2 Corinthians 9:11-13) Extravagant Grace - Allowing God’s glory to be revealed even through our weakness (Hebrews 4:16; Galatians 2:20)     

Authentic Love - Unconditional and sacrificial (1 John 4:10; John 13:34-35)     

Real Community - Encouraging and valuing one another (Hebrews 10:24-25; Galatians 6:2)     

Dynamic Growth - Allowing God’s power in our life to change us (1 Peter 2:1-3; 2 Corinthians 3:18)     

Passionate Faith - A resolute belief in God’s power that will not remain silent (Hebrews 11:6; James 2:26)

They will also learn about our Church Government, Missions and Ministries that are served outside of our building and about ministry areas within the Church, the basics of tithing/giving and more about who we are and why at South Coast. They will find FREEDOM from their past through Jesus, and look to the future with PURPOSE. They will discover their gifts and identify areas both inside and outside of the Church to start serving.

WEEK 2 | DISCOVERING PURPOSE
(Creating Environments)

In week two, individuals have now learned about God and the Church. They have dealt with their past and found freedom in Christ. They have identified passions and gifts that can help serve the Church.

By the end of GROW, individuals may choose to be baptized, become a member, and be encouraged to begin tithing/giving. They will be encouraged to join one of our anchor life groups. They will also have an opportunity based on their gifts/passions to begin serving on a team.

WEEK 3 |MAKING A DIFFERENCE 
(JOINING THE TEAM)

Many people believe ministry is something only pastors do. Biblically, that’s not true. We are all ministers. The role of church leadership is to equip the body of believers so that each person can step into their calling and make an eternal impact.

In this session, we focus on three key truths:

  • I want to make a difference.
    God has placed within each of us a desire for our lives to matter. We were created to influence others toward Christ.

  • I want to do something that makes a difference.
    Real impact is eternal. When we intentionally use our gifts to point people to Jesus, our work lasts beyond this life.

  • I want to make a difference with people who want to make a difference.
    We are the Body of Christ. When we serve together in unity, each part doing its role, we become effective and powerful in reaching others.

Day Three also explains the next step of commitment through church membership. While membership is not required to attend, it is an opportunity to unite with the church family in a deeper way—protecting unity, sharing responsibility, serving with your gifts, and supporting the mission faithfully.
